Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Stroved iOS app and this website (together, the “Service”), provided by Noel Strebelow (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Stroved is a focus timer app for iOS that helps you run focus sessions and track your progress. It offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription (“Stroved Pro”) that unlocks additional features. We may add, change, or discontinue features over time.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own private or professional purposes, in accordance with these terms and the App Store’s standard licensed application end-user license agreement (EULA). You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by mandatory law.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Stroved Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. At the time of writing, the plans are €4.99 per month and €39.99 per year; current pricing is always shown in the app and the App Store and may change. Purchases, billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Apple through your App Store account and are subject to Apple’s terms. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, via your App Store account settings.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, not to interfere with its operation, and not to use it for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for your device, your Apple account, and the data you store.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and functional but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control (for example App Store or iCloud availability) may temporarily affect the Service.

6. Warranty and liability

Statutory warranty rights for consumers remain unaffected. We are liable without limitation for damages resulting from intent or gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. In cases of simple negligence, we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose compliance you may regularly rely), and in that case only for the foreseeable, typical damage. Any further liability is excluded. This does not affect mandatory liability, for example under the German Product Liability Act.

7. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms where necessary, for example due to changes in the Service or the legal framework. The current version is always available on this page. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected. Insofar as legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction is our registered place of business.
